In 1926 Cumann na mBan launched the Easter lily to raise funds for unemployed republicans. In 1976, Maire Drumm, a leading figure in northern republicanism, was assassinated. At the anniversaries of these two significant events, historians Dr. Margaret Ward and Dr. Susie Deedigan will consider women’s activism in the early decades of the twentieth century Free event. No booking required. Organised by Féile an Phobail Debates and Discussions Committee Ó LILE NA CÁSCA GO DÚNMHARÚ SA MATER: GARSPRIOCANNA I STAIR NA MBAN POBLACHTACH ÉIREANNACH IARSMALANN ULADH In 1926, sheol Cumann na mBan lile na Cásca chun airgead a thiomsú do Phoblachtaigh a bhí dífhostaithe. About

The Ulster Museum is Belfast’s flagship museum and, in my opinion, one of the city’s best attractions full stop. It’s located in Botanic Gardens and admission is free.
