Ablaye Cissoko & Cyrille Brotto

After many great and unique collaborations, Senegalese artist Ablaye Cissoko (kora + vox) joins forces with the French diatonic accordion player Cyrille Brotto.

Presented by Moving on Music, this show which feels like a conversation between two masters of their instruments, the duo takes us on simultaneously spiritual and intimate journey during their performance.

Ablaye is a part of new generation of artists from Senegal. He embodies the crossover between Mandinka traditions and contemporary music, and is recognized as one of the finest kora players of all time, as well as one of the great singers in West Africa over a prolific 20-year career.

As for Cyrille, he is easily the most sought-after diatonic accordionist in Europe, with an innate ability to transport us into sensitive, rich, and diverse musical worlds.

We cannot wait to welcome this duo to Belfast for the first time.
