Discover the stories and treasures hidden within our beautiful building. Closed to the public since 2010, the library is now in the midst of an exciting regeneration project. Our vision: to transform it into a vibrant Centre for Weaving.
Your visit will consist of a guided tour of this 1906 Carnegie Library building where we will focus on some of the smaller details we don't normally get to talk about on our tours. The tour will finish with an exhibition of the different architectural plans that have been made for this building over the past 120 years to see how built heritage changes over time.
