Culture and Language: A Battlefield for a Progressive Ireland
This discussion explores the role of culture and language in political struggle from a socialist perspective.
According to the organisers, imperialism divides workers through national identity while capitalism erodes cultural heritage. The event argues for reclaiming Irish culture and the Irish language as part of working-class struggle, presenting this as a key battleground in the pursuit of an anti-imperialist, socialist Ireland.
Free event. No booking required.

Cultúr agus Teanga: Coimhlint le hÉirinn Fhorásach a Bhaint Amach
Déanfaidh an plé seo iniúchadh ar ról an chultúir agus na teanga sa streachailt pholaitiúil ó pheirspictíocht shóisialach.
Dar leis na heagraithe, déanann impiriúlachas deighilt idir oibrithe trí fhéiniúlacht náisiúnta, agus déanann an caipitleachas dochar dár n-oidhreacht chultúrtha. Déantar argóint ar son athghabháil chultúr agus theanga na hÉireann mar chuid de streachailt an lucht oibre, agus cuirtear i láthair í mar réimse riachtanach sa tóir ar Éirinn fhrithimpiriúlach shóisialach.
Imeacht saor in aisce. Ní bheidh áirithint ar bith de dhíth.
Eagraithe ag Páirtí Cumannach na hÉireann.
