Join Gerry O’Glacain and his daughter Áine from The Irish Brigade on a musical journey through Irish Republican songs and the stories behind them. From the origins of the hunger strike in ancient Brehon Laws, travel through the commemorative songs of the War of Independence, the rousing songs of resistance from the early ‘Troubles’, to the heartbreaking yet inspiring Irish Brigade songs in memory of the heroic men of 1981. “Read the Roll of Honour for Ireland’s bravest men!”

IF A SONG CAN FILL OUR HEARTS AND RAISE OUR SPIRITS CUMANN SÓISIALTA BHAILE ANDARSAN (PD), AN NASC THEAS
Tar agus éist le Gerry O’Glacain agus lena iníon, Áine ó The Irish Brigade, ag ceol amhrán Poblachtach Éireannach agus ag caint faoi na scéalta atá taobh thiar díobh. Ó bhunúis na stailce ocrais i nDlíthe na mBreithiúna ársa, éist le hamhráin a dhéanfaidh comóradh ar Chogadh na Saoirse, na hamhráin fhrithbheartaíochta spreagúla ó go luath sna ‘Trioblóidí’, agus le hamhráin choscracha ach spreagúla The Irish Brigade i gcuimhne laochra fir 1981. “Read the Roll of Honour for Ireland’s bravest men!”
