Milltown Masonic Hall, also known locally as Ballylesson Hall, was built in 1910 when the Farmers' Lodge of Friendship 978 set about constructing their new home. The Lodge was originally granted a warrant to meet in 1816 around the Drumbo area, later moving to Milltown and subsequently building the existing hall.
The hall is still in constant use and is currently home to three Craft Masonic Lodges and one Royal Arch Chapter, another branch of Freemasonry. Visitors will be welcomed on Saturday 12 September to view the hall and visit the Lodge Room.
Please note that this is located upstairs and requires climbing one flight of stairs.
Lodge members will be on hand to answer any questions about the history of the hall, the Lodges who use it, or the wider fraternal organisation. Tea and coffee will be provided, ensuring a warm welcome for visitors.
We look forward to welcoming you.
