Newtownards Masonic Centre EHOD 2026

Discover the story of Freemasonry in Newtownards at the Masonic Centre, a historic and welcoming space open for visitors to explore.

All areas of the building will be accessible, including the Lodge Room, where knowledgeable members will be on hand to answer questions and offer insights into the aims, traditions, and community role of Freemasonry. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about an often-misunderstood organisation and its contribution both locally and beyond.

The Centre also has connections to notable historical figures, including Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Blair "Paddy" Mayne, DSO & Three Bars, a founding member of the SAS.

Visitors can relax and enjoy hospitality during their visit, with a licensed bar available, alongside tea, coffee, sandwiches, and a selection of biscuits. Whether you are curious about history, heritage, or community life, the Masonic Centre offers an informative and welcoming experience.
