Tortured and framed by Gardaí and jailed for nearly three years over the Sallins Train Robbery, journalist and screenwriter Osgur Breatnach has spent a half-century fighting to clear his name and expose a secret state policy of torture and cover-ups. He talks to Miriam O’Callaghan about his life: his human rights work, torture by the Heavy Gang, MI6, a sleeping judge, jailtime, and his fight for truth and justice.
Free event. No booking required.

AG DUL AMACH AN TOLLÁN: CATH 50 BLIAIN LE CEART AGUS CÓIR A BHAINT AMACH COLÁISTE OLLSCOILE NAOMH MUIRE, BÓTHAR NA BHFÁL
Rinne na Gardaí céasadh air, chroch siad é agus chuir siad i bpríosún é ar feadh beagnach trí bliana mar gheall ar Robáil Traenach sna Solláin. Chaith an t-iriseoir agus an scríbhneoir scripte, Osgur Breatnach, caoga bliain ag iarraidh a ainm a ghlanadh agus polasaí rúnda an stáit de chéasadh agus d’fhorcheilt a thabhairt chun solais.
Beidh sé ag caint le Miriam O’Callaghan faoina shaol, faoina obair um chearta an duine, faoin chéasadh a rinne an Heavy Gang air, faoi MI6, faoi bhreitheamh a thit ina chodladh, faoin am a chaith sé i bpríosún agus faoi throid chun ceart agus cóir a bhaint amach. Náisiúnachas Tubaisteach: Luathlaethanta an fhaisisteachais nua.
Imeacht saor in aisce. Ní bheidh áirithint ar bith de dhíth.
