Selection is editorial.
A place appears because an editor believes it is useful, distinctive or genuinely good—not because somebody paid to be included.
No paid placement
Advertising and commercial relationships never buy a selection, ranking or favourable review. Sponsored material, if introduced, will be labelled plainly and kept separate from the Guide’s picks.
Visited and revisited
We favour first-hand experience, current information and specific reasons to visit. A selection can be changed or removed when a place changes.
Conflicts declared
Lavery’s-owned venues are eligible for ordinary factual listings, but ownership is disclosed. They do not receive automatic selection or preferential ranking.
Corrections welcomed
Opening hours, access information and event details move quickly. Readers and operators can flag mistakes; the editorial desk checks corrections before publication.
